Hey there! My name is Sarah. I've had the privilege of working at Pets R Family Animal Hospital for some time now, and since then my goal every day has been to ensure your day here with us goes as smoothly as possible and to make sure you and your fur baby receive the highest standard of care. With roots in El Salvador and Honduras, I’m fluent in English and Spanish, and I find great joy in being able to help owners feel more comfortable and supported in understanding veterinary medicine and their pets, even if they believe there may be a language barrier.

Aside from overseeing staff and helping the hospital run smoothly, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my cat.

Veterinary Assistant

Hello there! I’m Melvina or “Mel” as my friends and team call me, a passionate Vet Nurse with a knack for turning challenges into opportunities. With 6 years of experience in veterinary medicine, I’ve dabbled in everything from Kennel Assistant to now studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician!

When I’m not working with your amazing fur babies, you can find me playing volleyball, entertaining my dogs, or diving into the latest fiction novels. I believe in spreading “Paws”-tivity and being a helping hand to others in need. My favorite treatment to do is expressing anal glands and cleaning ears! Hi! My name is Julia and I have been part of the Pets R Family team since the spring of 2023. I’m a veterinary assistant, with a deep passion for animals and get to spend my days helping furry friends stay happy and healthy. Though my work is with cats and dogs, I also have a pet rabbit who keeps me company at home! I am also proud to say that I can speak both English and Spanish.

My passion for being able to take care of your fur babies brings joy to my everyday life. When I’m not at the clinic, I enjoy diving into captivating books and watching movies, all while embracing my love for fall- crisp air, cozy sweaters, and the sweet crunch of fallen leaves.

Hi my name is Brittany! I have been with Pets R Family since 2021, but my journey began in childhood as I nurtured a passion for all creatures great and small. Growing up surrounded by nature, i spent my early years rescuing stray pets, nurturing wildlife, and learning about various animal species.

Now, as a devoted mother of five and vet nurse, I understand the importance of compassion and care in both family and veterinary practices. I am always seeking to learn and implement innovative approaches to enhance our service to animals. Every day, I strive to provide compassionate care, ensuring that each furry patient feels safe and loved.

Hi! My name is Leslie and I started working at Pets R Family in Spring of 2023. I’m a veterinary assistant and receptionist, and most importantly, a proud dog mom to a 9-year old chihuahua, Cody. My passion for veterinary medicine started from the time I was a kindergartener, aiming to be an advocate for our four legged fur babies. I can confidently say my love for animals and veterinary medicine has continued to grow since working here.

I’m currently in community college with a plan to transfer to a 4-year university where I’ll major in the pre-vet track. My end goal is to one day be a veterinarian and give back to the community by providing the best care all our animals deserve. I look forward to hopefully meeting you and your fur baby!

I love the thought of how we are helping many babies in need and seeing them physically getting better by the work we do here.
